Farewell to a Good Friend
Irish Autism Action would like to pay tribute to a very good friend of the charity; Niall McCrudden who sadly passed away on the weekend.
Niall, was a generous person, with his time and his friendship. The contacts that he made on behalf of the I.A.A have been a major factor in raising the profile of the charity in this country.
Niall brought his energy, his ideas and his ability to make connections to the benefit of all the charities he supported, especially Irish Autism. Pictured above at our World Autism Day Penalty Shoot in 2009, Niall was generally agreed to be the life and soul of any event he supported and contributed hugely to its success.
Kevin Whelan, our C.E.O worked very closely with him and a strong friendship evolved and he is very greatly saddened by his death. He is however greatly comforted by having had the pleasure of knowing such a generous man.
Our Patron Keith Duffy said yesterday that Niall was "one of life's true gentlemen and had a heart the size of Ireland. Niall was such a selfless guy. This is a very sad day."
