We are pleased to announce that Connacht Gold has selected Irish Autism Action to be its Charity of the Year for 2010. Connacht Gold has always been very supportive of good causes in the community and this year they wish to help support local autism initiatives in the North West region. As part of the partnership, they will make a direct financial contribution and hope it can be supplemented through staff fundraising efforts in 2010.
Irish Autism Action hope to work with local support groups in the area who have various projects that they are interested in progressing. In addition they hope to assist individual families through their national diagnostic and assessment service and advocacy services.
Some initiatives and ideas have already been identified (by individual parents, Rainchild group, Sligo parents support network and Connacht Gold themselves) and forwarded to Irish Autism Action.
Please contact Colette Charles, IAA Fundraising Officer if you have any fund-raising ideas or events that Connacht Gold staff might be able to get involved in - they have staff in Galway, Roscommon, Sligo, Longford, Leitrim and Mayo.
"We are pleased to confirm that Irish Autism Action has been selected by Connacht Gold as its Charity of the Year for 2010. We are delighted to be getting involved with such a deserving cause and look forward to developing our relationship with you during the remainder of the year. We would hope that our contribution will be augmented by fundraising activities organised by our employees"
