In an effort to formulate a more focused approach to charitable donations and sponsorship, the Dublin Airport Authority launched the Charity of The Year programme in 2007.
Since then each DAA staff member has had the opportunity to vote for their very own DAA Charity of the Year, giving them the opportunity to fundraise for their chosen charity.
We are delighted to announce that staff have chosen Irish Autism Action for 2009.
Last year an estimated 23 million people passed through Dublin Airport. By choosing Irish Autism Action the D.A.A. staff have ensured that everyone one of those people will be made aware of Autism and where they can possibly go if they need to know more.
Staff volunteers will also be taking part in a number of fundraising activities over the course of the year, including collections and the sale of badges to all passengers on World Autism Awareness Day 2009.
We are very grateful to the staff for choosing us and are looking forward to a fun year.
