Solas Centre

Solas Centre

Solas is Ireland's first and only diagnostic and assessment centre. It's aim is to reduce waiting times for parents with a child with autism from 18 months to 3 months. It has been proven worldwide that early, accurate diagnosis coupled with early intensive intervention increases that child's opportunity for positive development and success.

The Solas Centre offers a multi-disciplinary assessment that consists of the following:

  1. A Psychology assessment which focuses on cognitive and behavioural issues.
  2. An Occupational Therapy assessment which focuses on the child's fine and gross motor ability and sensory issues.
  3. A Speech and Langauge assessment which focuses on the child's communication.

On completion of the assessments, you will receive a comprehensive report which will have recommendations from each discipline and recommendations on the best provisions for your child.

The Solas Centre is situated in St Gabriels Parish Cente in Clontarf, Dublin .

Solas also offers Counselling and Support Groups for Parents and Carers of a children with Autism, regardless of where they were diagnosed. These services are supported by Irish Autism Action's national fundraising and our generous sponsors. For more information go here
